Head of IT Governance
Location: Greater Manchester, UK
Salary: £105,000 per annum + 20% bonus

Head of IT Governance Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the organisation's IT governance framework, including policies, standards, and procedures.
- Oversee IT controls to manage risk, ensure compliance, and support regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, COBIT, and ITIL.
- Lead governance for IT change management, risk mitigation, and service delivery activities.
- Act as primary contact for internal and external IT audits, coordinate audit activities, and implement remedial actions.
- Manage data governance, including data quality, integrity, and lifecycle management, working closely with security and compliance teams.
- Oversee the IT budget, monitor spend, and optimise strategic investment decisions.
- Lead and improve Quality Assurance processes, ensuring robust testing and release management.
- Manage escrow, licence agreements, and develop succession plans for the IT team.

Head of IT Governance Requirements
- Proven experience in IT governance, risk, audit, and security within highly regulated or complex organisations.
- Deep understanding of IT-GRC principles, frameworks, and standards (ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 20000).
- Strong technical background in QA, testing, and release management.
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships with sound commercial judgment.
- Skilled stakeholder engagement and team leadership capabilities.
- Ability to adapt to change, lead improvement initiatives, optimise processes, and foster innovation.
