Head of IT

Profile

A successful Head of IT should have:

  • Proven leadership experience in IT management within professional services.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience in developing and implementing IT strategies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the industry.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technology Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and deliver the organisation's IT and digital strategy.
  • Lead, mentor and develop the IT team and external technology partners.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to align technology with business objectives.
  • Own the IT roadmap, budget, governance and prioritisation of key initiatives.

Cloud Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Own and optimise the Microsoft technology stack, including Azure, Microsoft 365 and Business Central.
  • Lead the development of a cloud infrastructure strategy for the business.
  • Manage Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for device compliance and security.
  • Oversee Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management.
  • Ensure a resilient, scalable and high performing cloud environment.
  • Define backup, disaster recovery and business continuity standards for critical systems.
