### About the Role
The College is seeking a headstrong and visionary Head of IT Services for this compelling opportunity. You will lead our team of:
- 1 Deputy Head of IT Services
- 2 experienced IT Services Engineers
- 1 apprenticeship-level IT Apprentice
- 1 Reprographics Technician
Unlike most roles, this position reserves growth potential—there’s a strong possibility of expanded scopes and increased remuneration within 1-2 years as part of the College’s successful succession planning.
Central to our IT team is an unwavering commitment to delivering the very best student and staff experience. We support 500 staff and 3,000 students, ensuring both academic and administrative users reap seamless IT-enabled benefits.
### Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all IT infrastructure, ensuring technology meets the evolving needs of students and staff.
- Champion digital capability through teaching and learning activities, embracing modern educational trends.
- Provide Strategic IT guidance to support the College’s growth goals—especially the aspiration for:
- Expanded 16-19 provisions in the region.
- A second campus site on Hills Road, requiring robust IT/digital infrastructure planning.
- enhance collaboration between your team and broader College initiatives to foster innovation and operational excellence.

### Person Specifications
Ideal candidate boasts: ✔ Significant experience in leading and managing IT services in farther education or complementary sectors. ✔ Strong expertise in network infrastructure, university-level applications and support strategies for high-user environments. ✔ Proven ability to address staff/student technology pains and implement scalable solutions. ✔ Financial awareness and corporate awareness of all financial/risk considerations arising from IT purchasing/outsourcing. ✔ A collegial yet decisive approach, fostering trust and solidarity within IT personnel.
