Head of the Web Ecosystem

As Head of the Web Ecosystem, you will own the mid- and long-term strategy for JetBrains products for JavaScript and TypeScript developers.

This role focuses on aligning product direction, go-to-market efforts, and external partnerships with the rapidly evolving web development ecosystem. You will translate ecosystem signals – from frameworks and tooling to community practices – into clear strategic priorities for JetBrains products.

You will work closely with engineering, product management, marketing, and developer advocacy teams, and represent JetBrains in the broader web developer community.

Core Responsibilities

  • Set the strategy and direction for JetBrains products for web developers. Start new product directions when important niches are not addressed.
  • Define the work for product management, marketing, developer advocacy, and partnerships in the web ecosystem, and keep everyone working toward one plan.
  • Track important changes and trends in the web community (frameworks, tooling, major releases, new workflows).
  • Build and maintain relationships with key people in the web ecosystem (companies, open-source projects, community leaders).
  • Work with engineering and QA leads to set priorities and plan work.
  • Represent JetBrains in the web ecosystem at key events and meetings.
  • Coordinate with other ecosystems when areas overlap (e.g. Databases, Go, AI).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
