Head of Korea
The Monad Foundation is a team of dedicated ecosystem and community builders who are on a mission to massively grow the impact of decentralized tech. We believe that the Monad blockchain--the performant and parallel EVM Layer 1--will help decentralized apps eat the world.
The Role
The Monad Foundation is looking for a Head of Korea to establish Monad as the leading blockchain in South Korea by institutional and retail adoption. South Korea is one of the most dynamic and active blockchain markets globally, with a highly engaged investor community.
You’ll own the overall strategy for the South Korean market, driving business development, strategic relationships and ecosystem growth. You will serve as Monad Foundation’s key representative to major Korean enterprises and institutions, covering use cases such as payments, tokenization/RWA, and capital markets.
What You Will Do
Develop, own, and execute go to market strategies to establish Monad as an industry leader in the South Korean market among institutional and retail investors. Own business development strategy and execution by identifying, negotiating and closing strategic deals that position Monad as a top chain amongst Korean enterprises and institutions. Build and nurture relationships with strategic regional stakeholders including regional exchanges, enterprises,, media and regulatory bodies to expand Monad’s presence and mindshare. Stay on top of the evolving South Korean regulatory landscape and trends to identify high-impact opportunities to position Monad as an industry leader and first-mover.

Who You Are
8+ years of business development experience, including 3+ years in blockchain, digital assets, or Web3 startups. Deep understanding of the South Korean market and extensive experience in engaging and selling some of the largest enterprises and institutions in Korea. Proven ability to engage retail and institutional investors. Considerable market foresight in terms of what major corporations are doing in crypto and where the regulatory landscape is headed. Robust network across regional institutions, enterprises, and web3 companies. Deep understanding of web3 in the context of corporate strategy and how to effectively apply web3 technologies (e.g. why launch a stablecoin, benefits of tokenization, etc.) Self-starter who takes ownership of initiatives from ideation to execution. Native-level fluency in both Korean and English (written and verbal).
Nice to Have
Extensive experience guiding market entry for web3 startups (e.g., providing strategic guidance, local insights and connectivity). Deep connectivity into Korean centralized exchanges Considerable expertise and connectivity with regulators Robust understanding and connectivity into Korean media Entrepreneurial experience across the full startup lifecycle, including fundraising, product launches and operations. Deep technical understanding of blockchains.
