Head of L&D CIS

About the Role

Reports To: The CIS Head of L&D is accountable for the development of the CIS learning and upskilling strategy and the reach of the expected outcomes by the CIS leaders. The role operates under the leadership of the Global Head of GBLs Learning and the CIS CHRO.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid working: The places where you work will vary daily — a blend of:

  • Company offices
  • Client sites
  • Home (with no 100% remote capability).

Your Role

Job Summary

The Head of L&D CIS is responsible for:

  • Defining the learning & development and upskilling strategy across all CIS Business Line countries.
  • Proposing and implementing initiatives to foster the "One Capgemini mindset" within CIS GBL, including:
    • Onboarding programs
    • CIS-specific methodologies
    • CIS technology upskilling/reskilling programs.
  • Leverage and adapting global learning assets for CIS needs:
    • Leadership development
    • Compliance training
    • Industry upskilling
    • Key audiences: Client Managers, Sales, Engagement Managers, Architects, Delivery Heads.

Transformation Opportunities

  • Lead a dual transformation agenda:
    1. Support a massive business transformation via AI.
    2. Drive learning function transformation through:
      • New operating model implementation
      • GenAI tools adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Alignment

  • Define a cohesive, yearly capability-building learning strategy tied to agreed outcomes.
  • Co-design learning approaches with CHRO and CIS business leaders.
  • Foster a continuous learning culture in CIS GBL.
  • Promote and localize group-wide learning initiatives, ensuring accountability for GBL outcomes.

Learning Transformation

  • Drive collaboration in group-wide learning initiatives:
    • Pioneering experience design.
    • Evolving learning tech stack via new tools pilots.
    • Supporting reporting & insights needs.

Aligned Learning Design & Delivery

  • Oversee end-to-end learning programs (business requirements → performance assessment).
  • Work with group-enabled learning functions and allocated delivery teams (country or group level).
  • GBLs should optimize resource collaboration, not directly design/deliver programs.

"One Capgemini" Alignment

  • Champion cross-functional collaboration to promote a unified Capgemini mindset beyond CIS.

Efficiency Management

  • Consolidate the CIS learning budget.
  • Orchestrate teams for a unified Capgemini approach, ensuring cost efficiency.

People Management

  • Manage current LBP team (traditionally <10 members) per Capgemini’s global learning operating model.

Required Experience & Skills

Business Experience

  • 15-20 years (preferably in the technology industry), including:
    • ≥10 years in Learning & Development (at scale) OR HR/Talent Development.
  • Cloud, Cyber, and Infrastructure (as-a-service) understanding is mandatory to advise business leaders.
  • Experience linking business roles to skills development & training initiatives.

Executive Communication

  • Proven experience presenting to executive leadership.

  • Direct experience designing and scaling technology upskilling/reskilling programs.
