Head of Leadership Development & Talent Integration (London) – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: London (3 days a week) Salary: Highly competitive + bonus + benefits Availability: Maximum one-month notice
About the Role
Hawkwood is partnering with a leading AI research and technology organisation to appoint a Head of Leadership Development & Talent Integration. This forward-thinking group is at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence, pioneering technologies that reshape global AI applications. With 500+ senior leaders and thousands of employees across Europe and North America, the company is in a critical phase of organisational growth.
In this high-visibility role, you’ll drive leadership effectiveness, executive engagement, and talent integration to help the business thrive amid rapid change. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent, you’ll lead a team of Organisational Development Specialists and collaborate closely with VP and C-suite leaders to shape strategic leadership initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Own and refine the global leadership development strategy for 500+ senior leaders.
- Design and deliver executive-focused initiatives that enhance leadership effectiveness, engagement, and organisational impact.
- Partner with Talent, Performance, and Reward, alongside senior leaders, to identify key leadership priorities and scale solutions globally.
- Build innovative onboarding and talent integration approaches, particularly for high-value hires and periods of organisational change.
- Develop programmes using leadership forums, peer learning, communities, and 360° feedback to strengthen leadership capabilities.
- Translate engagement data, leadership insights, and organisational feedback into actionable interventions that improve retention and performance.
- Leverage AI, data analytics, and modern learning techniques to create scalable, impactful leadership solutions.
- Optimise existing leadership resources while designing bespoke programmes where needed.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Organisational Development specialists.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, removing organisational barriers and enabling top-level performance.

Requirements

- Proven expertise in Leadership Development, Organisational Development, or Leadership Effectiveness (preferably within a fast-growing, large-scale organisation).
- Ability to partner effectively with VP and C-suite stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
- Strong grasp of behavioural science, change management, and leadership effectiveness.
- Experience designing scalable leadership programmes—not just delivering traditional training.
- Strong programme and stakeholder management skills to navigate complex, matrixed environments.

- Commercial pragmatism, adaptability, and agility in a dynamic environment.
- Enthusiasm for AI’s impact on leadership and organisational effectiveness.
- Advantageous (but not essential): experience in tech, research, consulting, or high-performing knowledge-based organisations.
