About this role
As Head of Legal - Product within our Legal & Compliance department, you will lead our global legal product strategy. You will drive excellence by aligning legal risk frameworks with our fast-paced product roadmap, aiming high to deliver clear, commercial guidance. By caring for our global community, you ensure innovative consumer-facing features and marketing campaigns are built responsibly and delivered seamlessly.
Location: Open to location in either: London, Amsterdam, or Berlin.
Reporting to: Deputy General Counsel - Platform & Consumer
Key Components of the Position:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing legal team, driving cross-functional alignment across global product, engineering and marketing departments.
- Act as thought leader and sparring partner to business leaders in the area of consumer and platform regulation.
- Deliver proactive, practical, and commercially-minded legal counsel on international consumer law, e-commerce regulations, and digital platform requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end legal review of new product features, from initial ideation to global deployment.
- Oversee the legal framework for high-impact marketing initiatives, ensuring global and local teams can move with confidence across consumer and advertising law requirements.
- Set the vision for an artificial intelligence (AI)-first legal function — building tools, playbooks and self-service guidance that translate legal requirements into scalable product guardrails and approval routes, so the business moves faster with less legal friction.

What Will You Bring to the Team?
- Proven ability to guide Product, Tech and Engineering teams through complex international regulatory landscapes, translating legal requirements into practical frameworks teams can actually use.
- Deep knowledge of consumer protection and platform regulations affecting global digital platforms, with a track record of applying this commercially and at pace.
- Strong track record of leading, mentoring and developing legal professionals, with the ability to build a high-performing team in a fast-moving, global environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior executives and simplify complex legal issues for non-legal audiences.
- You hold the line on the things that matter — user trust, regulatory exposure, brand — without becoming a blocker.
- Professional legal qualification required to practise as an in-house lawyer in the UK, the Netherlands or Germany.
