Head of Manufacturing Execution System Programme
Senior Technology & Transformation Leader (MES Programme)
Some programmes improve a process. Others transform how an entire business operates.
This is one of those opportunities.
We're looking for a senior technology and transformation leader to take ownership of one of Aston Martin's most significant digital manufacturing programmes, the selection, implementation and deployment of our future Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across multiple production facilities.
This isn't simply about introducing a new platform. It's about reimagining how manufacturing execution works across Aston Martin, creating a consistent, connected and scalable capability that will support the next generation of our products, plants and technologies.
The goal is to establish a single enterprise MES platform that connects people, processes and systems across Gaydon, St Athan and Wellesbourne, enabling greater efficiency, traceability, quality and operational insight across the manufacturing environment.
About the Role
You'll hold end-to-end accountability for the programme, from defining the vision and roadmap through to partner mobilisation, deployment, adoption and value realisation. Working at the intersection of Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain and IT, you'll bring together multiple stakeholders around a shared objective while ensuring clarity of governance, decision-making and delivery.
A key part of the role will be establishing a programme structure that provides both pace and control. You'll work closely with senior leaders across the business, managing executive engagement, steering programme direction and navigating complex decisions with confidence and credibility. You'll also take ownership of delivery across solution design, integration, data, testing, change management, cutover and early life support, ensuring the programme remains focused on outcomes rather than activity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Beyond implementation, you'll help shape how manufacturing execution operates in the future. From production control and workflow execution to quality management and traceability, you'll ensure the delivered capability supports business performance today while providing a scalable foundation for tomorrow. You'll also oversee the integration of MES into Aston Martin's broader digital ecosystem, helping create seamless connections between manufacturing operations, enterprise systems and the technology platforms that support our next generation vehicle architecture.
About You
We're looking for someone who has led enterprise-scale MES programmes before and understands the realities of delivering transformation within complex manufacturing environments. You'll bring a strong track record of leading large programmes involving multiple partners, system integrators and cross-functional teams, together with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on delivery leadership.
You'll be comfortable operating at executive level, building alignment across diverse stakeholder groups and creating momentum within large-scale transformation programmes. Just as importantly, you'll understand how to turn technology investment into measurable business outcomes, driving adoption, operational improvement and long-term value creation.
Experience within automotive or another complex manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous, alongside a strong understanding of manufacturing operations, process standardisation and the integration of MES with wider enterprise platforms such as ERP systems.
