Head of Marketing – Exhibitions
Hybrid: Herne Hill, 3 days in the office
Contract: Permanent, full-time
As our Head of Marketing, you'll create and deliver integrated campaigns that drive visitor attendance, support exhibitor retention, and contribute to the continued commercial success of the portfolio.
Working closely with the Marketing Director, you'll help shape the wider marketing approach while taking ownership of campaign planning, delivery, and performance. Alongside managing a significant marketing budget, you'll play a key leadership role, leading, coaching, and developing a team of marketers, creating a collaborative, high-performing environment where people are supported to grow and deliver their best.

What you’ll be doing
You will:
- Work closely with the Marketing Director to develop the overall strategy for the growing exhibitions portfolio.
- Plan, deliver, and continually optimize campaigns for two B2B exhibitions that drive visitor attendance, exhibitor retention, and commercial growth across digital and offline channels, including email, social media, paid media, PR, partnerships, content marketing, and website activity.
- Manage a significant marketing budget, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget, and achieve a strong return on investment.
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze results, and use insights to identify new audience growth opportunities and continuously improve marketing activity.
- Build strong relationships with colleagues across the company to ensure marketing activity supports wider commercial objectives.
- Line manage, coach, and develop a team of 4, setting clear objectives, supporting their professional development, and creating a collaborative, high-performing environment.
- Take ownership of campaign performance, bringing fresh ideas and innovative approaches that help strengthen the exhibitions portfolio and deliver measurable results.

Must-haves:
- Previous experience as a Senior Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing, or in a similar marketing leadership role.
- A proven track record of planning and delivering successful marketing campaigns for exhibitions, conferences, events, or other B2B products.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing a marketing team.
- Confidence managing significant marketing budgets, measuring campaign performance, and using data to inform marketing decisions.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working collaboratively across sales teams and other commercial stakeholders.
- A proactive approach, bringing fresh ideas and a commitment to continually improving marketing performance.
Nice-to-haves:
- A strong understanding of paid digital marketing, email marketing, social media, content marketing, and website optimization.
- Experience managing external agencies and suppliers to deliver successful campaigns.
- A degree or professional marketing qualification, although this is not essential.
