The Role
Croydon High School is seeking a Head of Marketing and Communications to play a pivotal role promoting Croydon High School’s outstanding education and vibrant community.
As Head of Marketing and Communications, you will shape how Croydon High School is seen, understood, and experienced—strengthening its reputation, growing engagement, and supporting pupil recruitment and retention. You will lead an ambitious, insight-driven marketing strategy across digital, social media, PR, advertising, publications, and events. Acting as guardian of the school’s brand, you will create compelling campaigns and content, oversee the website, SEO and GEO activity, and use data and market intelligence to identify new opportunities.
Working closely with Admissions and senior leaders, you will help deliver an exceptional journey for prospective families, from their first enquiry through to enrolment. You will also lead the marketing of Open Days, Taster Events, and feeder-school initiatives, while building strong relationships across the school, GDST, and wider community.

This is a varied, visible, and influential role, combining strategic thinking with creative delivery. You will manage the Marketing and Communications Coordinator, external partners, and the marketing budget, ensuring every project is engaging, effective, and delivered to a high standard.
You will bring proven marketing experience, excellent writing and communication skills, strong organisation, and sound judgement. A good understanding of digital marketing, SEO, GEO, social media, and customer journeys is essential, together with the creativity, energy, and confidence to manage competing priorities in a busy, service-focused environment.
