About H-Power
H-Power is a UK-based, AIM-listed clean energy company developing zero-emissions hydrogen power systems. Using ammonia to produce low-carbon hydrogen at the point of need, and fuel cells to convert it into reliable, off-grid power, H-Power offers a scalable, practical alternative to fossil fuels, serving the construction, infrastructure, transport, and power generation sectors.

The Role
Head of Marketing & Communications
As this headliner role, you will lead and enhance H-Power’s reputation, brand, and influence across employees, customers, investors, media, government, and partners. Reporting to the leadership team, this highly visible role:
- Sets the communications and marketing strategy, ensuring consistent, impactful messaging across all channels.
- Combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, supporting the company through content, campaigns, and communications.
- Brings a customer-first approach and the confidence to challenge and advise stakeholders on best practice.
Key Objectives
- Develop and deliver a proactive communications and marketing strategy that:
- Strengthens H-Power’s reputation.
- Supports commercial growth and market expansion.
- Ensures effective audience engagement.
- Lead investor and internal communications.
- Manage external agency relationships.
- Optimise budgets and resources to maximise impact and ROI.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and deliver the communications and marketing strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Act as brand guardian, advising the CEO and leadership team on:
- Messaging.
- Reputation.
- Stakeholder engagement.
- Provide strategic oversight while delivering campaigns, content, and communications materials.

- Lead:
- Internal communications.
- Organisational updates.
- Change programmes.
- Crisis response.
- Partner with HR and Operations to ensure timely, transparent employee communications.
External Communications & Reputation
- Own external messaging and proactive storytelling across:
- Media.
- Industry bodies.
- Partners.
- Produce:
- Press releases.
- Statements.
- Briefing materials.
- Thought leadership content.
- Manage:
- Media relations.
- Spokesperson activity.
- Issues management and crisis communications.
Commercial & Investor Communications
- Support:
- Pipeline growth.
- Customer engagement.
- Shape messaging using:
- Customer insight.
- Market intelligence.
- Lead:
- Shareholder and investor communications.
- Financial calendar and reporting activities.
Digital Marketing & Campaigns
- Lead digital strategy across:
- Paid media.
- Owned and earned channels.
- Oversee:
- SEO.
- Social media.
- Content.
- Analytics.
- Performance marketing.
- Manage:
- Website content.
- Content Management System (CMS) activity.
- Deliver measurable campaigns, managing the communications and marketing budget.
Brand, Content & Creative
- Lead content development across:
- Digital.
- Print.
- Video.
- Maintain brand consistency.
- Oversee creative direction for:
- Campaigns.
- Corporate materials.
Government Affairs & Stakeholder Engagement
- Build relationships with:
- Government.
- Regulators.
- Industry bodies.
- Monitor policy developments.
- Advise on risks and opportunities.
- Represent the organisation at:
- External events.
- Industry forums.
Agency & Team Management
- Manage:
- PR agencies.
- Digital agencies.
- Creative agencies.
- Investor relations agencies.
- Ensure delivery against:
- Objectives.
- Budgets.
- Support the future growth of the function, including additional resource.

Essential
- Proven senior-level communications and marketing leadership experience with the ability to influence executive and board stakeholders.
- Strong commercial awareness, with experience partnering with Sales and Business Development teams.
- Track record in:
- Internal and external communications.
- PR and reputation management.
- Digital marketing strategies and campaigns experience, with:
- Strong understanding of SEO, paid media, analytics, and performance metrics.
- Experience producing:
- Press materials.
- Experience in:
- Managing media relations.
- Engaging with:
- Customers.
- Investors.
- Government.
- Regulatory stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience managing:
- Websites.
- CMS platforms.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong analytical capability and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, customer-focused messaging.

- Experience in the:
