Senior Leadership Role: Head of Marketing & Communications
We’re seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative Head of Marketing & Communications to spearhead the development and delivery of our marketing and communications strategies, helping Everyturn grow our collective impact, strengthen our voice, and broaden access to support for the communities we serve.
This leadership post offers organisation-wide influence, engaging with trustees, executives, senior leaders, frontline staff, partners, and the people we support. You’ll drive clear, compelling, and impactful communications that raise brand awareness, drive fundraising and business development, influence the mental health landscape, and ensure people find the right support when needed.
About the Role
The Head of Marketing & Communications will lead Everyturn’s marketing and communications team while delivering plans that mirror our organisational strategy. Core responsibilities include:
- Oversight of sales and marketing plans, internal communications, brand identity and tone of voice, multi-channel campaigns, vendor relationships, and project-specific marketing across a wide range of services and initiatives.
- Balancing strategic thinking, stakeholder relationships, commercial awareness, and rigorous communication—all while staying close to the lived experiences of people using our services.
- This is a remote-based role, but we are ideally looking for a candidate located in the North East of England.

Strategic Planning
- Oversee the co-production and execution of Everyturn’s sales and marketing plan, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies and wider goals.
- Develop and deliver impactful marketing campaigns across all channels (print, digital, social media, and events), supporting brand awareness, lead generation, fundraising, service visibility, and improved access to support.

Thought Leadership & Advocacy
- Enhance Everyturn’s campaigns, influencing tactics, and systemic mental health advocacy efforts.
- Lead continuous improvement of brand guidelines, tone of voice, and key messaging to reflect organisational values.

Internal & External Communications
- Drive the internal communications program to foster engagement, recognition, and connection among colleagues.
- Manage vendor relationships (e.g., web hosting, marketing, and PR agencies).

Strategic Representation
- Represent the marketing function at board, executive, and senior review forums, providing strategic insights and addressing emergent needs.
About You
We’re looking for a strategic marketing leader with:
- Senior-level marketing and communications management experience, a proven track record of achieving strategic objectives.
- Ability to lead and influence high-performing teams and deliver complex campaigns effectively.
- Experience working closely with board-level stakeholders, with clarity in advising senior management.
- Outstanding communication skills, prioritising transparency and relationship-building across organisations.
- Demonstrated success in commercial marketing, fundraising, lead generation, and stakeholder engagement (including experience with NHS commissioning is advantageous).

- Background in healthcare, social care, charity, emergency crisis communications, or mental health advocacy.
