About Blue Note London
Blue Note London is a landmark addition to the global Blue Note Entertainment Group family, bringing the same world-class live music experience that has defined Blue Note venues for decades. Located in the heart of London’s West End and opening this fall, the venue offers an intimate setting for performances by legendary artists, emerging talent, and a broad range of musical genres, welcoming jazz enthusiasts and wider audiences alike.
Position Summary
Blue Note London is seeking an experienced, hands-on Head of Marketing to lead and execute the venue’s marketing efforts. This is a broad, owner-operator role combining strategic leadership with day-to-day delivery across digital, social, content, and campaign activity. The ideal candidate will have:

- Drive to both set direction and deliver results
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Planning
- Develop and deliver comprehensive marketing strategies tailored to the London market, promoting concerts, special events, and venue offerings.
- Align marketing initiatives with Blue Note’s overarching vision and objectives.
Campaign Management
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across:
- Digital platforms
- Social media
- Email channels
- Traditional media partners
- Optimise campaigns to maximise:
- Ticket sales
- Brand engagement
- Return on investment (ROI)
Social Media Strategy and Execution
- Manage and grow social media presence across:
- X (formerly Twitter)
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content, including:
- Graphics
- Videos
- Live event updates
- Monitor trends and audience engagement to refine strategy and content.

Brand Management
- Establish and maintain Blue Note London’s brand as a leading cultural and entertainment destination.
- Ensure consistent brand identity across all channels, collaborating with designers and content creators.
Content Creation and Distribution
- Lead production of compelling multimedia content, such as:
- Artist spotlights
- Promotional videos
- Venue features
- Manage:
- Website content
- Social media channels
- Dynamic, engaging, and up-to-date information
Event Promotion
- Coordinate with artists, agents, and publicists to amplify promotions across:
- Digital channels
- Email campaigns
- Execute targeted campaigns for:
- Maximising ticket sales
- Event attendance
- Cover events in real time to:
- Enhance audience engagement
- Capture the Blue Note experience
Community Engagement
- Build partnerships with:
- Local businesses
- Media outlets
- Cultural organisations
- Influencers
- Identify and develop sponsorship opportunities aligned with Blue Note’s mission.
Analytics and Reporting
- Track, analyse, and report performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing, with expertise across:
- Strategic planning
- Hands-on execution
- Demonstrated success in marketing:
- Live music events
- Comparable entertainment experiences
- Strong understanding of:
- London market
- Media landscape
- Audience profile
- Proficiency in:
- Digital marketing
- Social media platforms
- Analytics
- Email marketing tools
- Excellent:
- Copywriting skills
- Content creation
- Storytelling across multiple formats/platforms
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to manage relationships with:
- Agencies
- Publicists
- External partners
- Creative approach with the drive to operate effectively in a lean team environment.
