Head of Marketing — RaceWatch (Part-Time, Remote, Secondary Role)

About RaceWatch

RaceWatch is a UK and Irish horse racing intelligence platform built around one idea: form reading, done for you. Our engine reads every declared runner in Britain and Ireland daily and presents a clear, evidence-backed case for and against each horse — alongside GPS speed data, live market monitoring, and FormLines+, our system for tracking how the form of every race works out. We're a subscription product (£24.99/month) in our launch phase, with paying members, a growing content presence, and ambitions well beyond the consumer app: media partnerships, syndicates, ownership groups and yards, all built on the same engine. We think racing's next generation of fans will find the sport through data told well — and we intend to be the ones telling it.

The role

We're hiring an experienced racing marketing professional to lead all of RaceWatch's marketing and social media activity. This is a paid, remote, part-time position designed specifically as a secondary role — it is non-exclusive and built to fit around your existing full-time job in the industry. You keep your career; you run our brand on the side. Output matters, hours don't. You'll work directly with the founder, with real autonomy over strategy and content.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll own

Full responsibility for RaceWatch's online presence and growth:

  • Social strategy and execution across X, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
  • Content creation — daily posts, data-led threads, race-day coverage, big-meeting campaigns
  • Analytics and reporting — what's growing, what's converting, what we do next
  • Brand growth — follower and subscriber acquisition, influencer and partner outreach, community engagement
  • Shaping the content calendar around the racing calendar: festivals, feature races, launch moments

You won't be starting cold: the platform generates genuinely distinctive material every day — engine ratings, speed figures, market moves, form lines — and your job is to turn that into the sharpest racing content feed in the game.

What we're looking for

  • Proven marketing/social experience within horse racing or betting
  • Strong racing knowledge — you can read a card and spot the story
  • Demonstrable growth results on at least one platform
  • Self-directed, reliable, comfortable working remotely with a founder

What we offer

Paid monthly retainer (discussed at interview), fully remote, flexible around your existing role, direct input into a fast-moving product at launch stage, and full creative ownership of a brand with real data behind it.
