THE ROLE:
This is a senior, hands-on marketing leadership role covering a planned maternity leave. You will take full ownership of the marketing function at a pivotal moment with the data delivery platform ‘Lumen’ evolution is under way, a website redesign is in delivery, and the team is actively building out its hiring and capacity. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for shaping strategy while ensuring strong execution across campaigns, content, and digital channels.
For the right person, this contract has genuine potential to become a permanent appointment.
Key Deliverables (First 3–6 Months)
- Clear lead generation strategy aligned to priority sectors
- Defined thought leadership roadmap and content plan
- Improved lead quality and conversion metrics
- Streamlined and focused marketing activity with measurable ROI
- Enhanced alignment between marketing and commercial teams
- Ensure the ongoing Website project delivery is timely and effective
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in a Head of Marketing / Marketing Director role, ideally in professional services or advisory environments
- Demonstrated experience leading and delivering complex, cross-functional projects — such as website redesigns, platform launches, or rebrands — through external agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Strong track record of delivering high-quality B2B lead generation
- Experience building thought leadership platforms that drive commercial outcomes
- Commercially minded with deep understanding of sales alignment and pipeline generation
- Hands-on and delivery-focused, with the ability to operate at pace in an interim capacity
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly with senior leadership

Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Revenue Impact
- Design and execute a targeted lead generation strategy focused on quality over volume
- Partner closely with Sales to align on ideal customer profiles, pipeline needs, and conversion
- Implement robust lead scoring, tracking, and attribution frameworks
- Drive measurable improvements in MQL - SQL conversion and pipeline contribution
- Own the marketing-influenced revenue target and the metrics that underpin it, working in close alignment with the Chief Revenue Officer.
2. Thought Leadership & Content Strategy
- Develop a thought leadership-driven marketing strategy aligned to core sectors and services
- Translate internal expertise into high-value content (insights, reports, webinars, events)
- Oversee the content calendar across owned and earned channels, including LinkedIn thought leadership and analyst commentary.
- Position the firm and its leaders as trusted industry authorities
- Ensure all marketing activity reinforces brand credibility and commercial relevance
3. Marketing Strategy & Delivery
- Conduct rapid assessment of current marketing effectiveness and identify gaps
- Refine and implement a clear, focused marketing plan aligned to business priorities
- Lead the marketing function day-to-day, maintaining programme momentum across campaigns, content, social, brand, and events.
- Serve as the senior marketing voice in leadership meetings, providing clear reporting on pipeline contribution, campaign performance, and strategic priorities.

4. Team Leadership & Capability
- Lead and coach the marketing team, providing clarity, structure, and momentum
- Introduce best practices in planning, execution, and performance management
- Address capability gaps and stabilise/strengthen the function where needed
- Line-manage the existing London-based marketing team, providing clear direction, prioritisation support, and professional development.
- Maintain a collaborative, high-output team culture aligned with FGE NexantECA's values and pace.
5. Data, Insight & Performance
- Establish clear KPIs linked to revenue and pipeline outcomes
- Embed a culture of data-led decision making and continuous optimisation
- Provide regular, clear reporting to leadership on performance and impact
