We are looking for a highly strategic and commercially minded Head of Marketing to build and lead a modern, solutions-focused marketing function supporting a diverse portfolio of services and technology solutions delivered to local government, public sector organisations and regulated industries.
This is a rare opportunity for a marketing leader who enjoys creating strategy, building high-performing teams and driving meaningful commercial impact. Working closely with the executive leadership team, you'll shape both short and long-term marketing plans while ensuring delivery through an established team of five marketing professionals.
Success in this role will come from understanding how to market complex services and solutions rather than products. Our customers don't want to be sold to, they want insight, expertise and confidence that their challenges can be solved. You'll help create the content, campaigns and market positioning that drive engagement, build trust and support business growth.
The Role
As Head of Marketing you'll be responsible for the entire marketing agenda across multiple business units, ensuring a joined-up, strategic approach that supports revenue growth and market positioning.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and own the organisation's marketing strategy.
- Create both short and long-term growth plans aligned to business objectives.
- Partner closely with executive stakeholders to identify market opportunities and emerging customer needs.
- Establish clear performance metrics and demonstrate marketing ROI.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor and develop a team of five marketing professionals.
- Create focus, accountability and excellence across the function.
- Ensure strategic priorities are translated into effective day-to-day activity.
- Drive continuous improvement in marketing capability, processes and output.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
