Head of Marketing and Mindshare
Location: UK or US-based
We are searching for a visionary, hands-on marketer who can build and inspire a high-performing marketing team while shaping brand, category, and market presence for Genie AI—ensuring it becomes the definitive authority in legal AI. You will combine executive strategy with real-world execution as we redefine how companies interact with law.
About the Role
In this impactful Head of Marketing and Mindshare position, you’ll lead a small but mighty four-member team (brand, content, product marketing, and demand generation) while directly influencing strategy, launches, and market Narratives that drive Genie AI’s genetic moment.
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Team Building
- Build and inspire a high-performing marketing team with ambition and clear purpose
- Align marketing, product, sales, and leadership across the company
- Foster ownership and adaptability as our high-growth economy constantly evolves
Key Areas of Ownership

Lead comprehensive marketing strategy across:
- Brand positioning and messaging
- Product marketing & storytelling
- Demand generation (B2B focus)
- Mindshare (dominating industry conversations)

Drive market awareness, reach, and advocacy among legal, procurement, ops, and AI audiences

Shape Genie AI’s category in legal AI, contract automation, and legal operations through narratives, positioning, and pan-defining campaigns

Public face of Genie AI:
- Engage through media, podcasts, events, webinars, and direct interchanges with customers and industry leaders

Cultivate strategic relationships with: customers, influencers, partners, journalists, AI communities, and procurement & legal executive ecosystems

Design creative, high-impact campaigns and marketing stunts that create buzz and reposition our influence
Execution and Ownership

Roll up your sleeves—whether launching products, defining Initiatives, or speaking at conferences

Influential content & storytelling that turns complex AI-driven product depths into compelling marketing narratives

Scale strategic growth through execution:
- Channel distribution (content, social media, communities, influencers, PR, events)
- Data and measurement: Track brand awareness, mindshare growth, and share of voice

What You’ll Bring
Core Responsibilities & Skills
✅ Proven track record in scaling marketing teams (typically within high-growth SaaS or AI companies) ✅ Combination of hands-on execution and strategic leadership—able to balance account managers and á la carte assumptions 🔹 Hands-on vs. overviewing park bench roles—you’ll sink where the water is deepest!
✅ AI flair: proactively adopt modern AI tech to elevate productivity in work outputs 🔹 doesn’t mean you should write the algorithms—rather, use them strategically for scaling impact
✅ B2B credibility—particularly with legal, operations or procurement executives ✅ Industry-leading ability in:
- Building mindshare (defining categories and increasing advocacy)
- Cross-functional partnership & impact between marketing, product, sales & leadership
✅ Experienced communicator who can storyboard through ambiguity (since Genie can’t just Google “how to do it”)
Entrepreneurial Mindset
- Instinct and confidence in guesturing massive growth from A to Z with minimal starting assets
- Able to execute, learning by jumping headfirst, while leveraging a suite of trials and results
