Across our four specialist practices - Qualifications & Training, Recruitment & Supply, Professional Services, and SEND & Inclusion - we deliver services that empower the world of education.
As our business continues to grow through innovation, new products, and acquisitions, we're looking for an experienced Head of Marketing Operations to help shape the future of marketing across the Group.
The Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role within our central Group Marketing team.
As Head of Marketing Operations, you'll define and lead the strategy that underpins marketing performance across SEG's portfolio of brands. You'll own our marketing technology ecosystem, optimise how we generate and measure demand, and ensure our marketing operations enable sustainable commercial growth.
Working closely with our Chief Marketing Officer, Practice Heads of Marketing, Sales leaders, and Technology teams, you'll build scalable operating models, develop best practice across the Group, and champion innovation - including the adoption of AI - to help our marketing teams perform at their very best.
If you enjoy combining strategy, technology, data, and commercial thinking to drive measurable business outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Head of Marketing Operations, you will:
- Develop and deliver SEG's Marketing Operations strategy across multiple brands and business units.
- Own and evolve our MarTech roadmap, ensuring our technology supports future growth and operational excellence.
- Act as the strategic owner of HubSpot, leading platform direction across Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, and Data Hub.
- Drive marketing automation, customer lifecycle management, and lead management strategies to maximise commercial performance.
- Build robust reporting, attribution models, and executive dashboards that provide clear insight into marketing performance and pipeline contribution.
- Establish governance frameworks, campaign standards, and best practices that improve consistency and efficiency across the Group.
- Lead AI adoption within Marketing, identifying practical opportunities to improve productivity, insight, and customer engagement.
- Partner closely with Sales Operations, Data, Product, and Technology teams to deliver strategic growth initiatives.
- Manage key technology partners, vendor relationships, and commercial negotiations, ensuring strong return on marketing technology investment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CMO and Marketing Leadership Team, helping shape the future direction of Marketing Operations across SEG.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
