About The Business
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, well-established UK industrial business operating within a specialist technical sector. With a strong market reputation, ambitious growth plans, and significant investment in commercial performance, the business is entering a new phase where marketing will play a critical role in driving customer acquisition, pipeline growth, and brand development.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll have the rare opportunity to shape and own the entire marketing function, influencing both strategy and execution while working closely with senior leadership. This is a highly visible role offering genuine autonomy, accountability, and the chance to make a measurable commercial impact.
The Opportunity
We're seeking a commercially-minded, hands-on Head of Marketing who thrives on delivering results, not just activity.
This is not a traditional corporate leadership role with a large team underneath you, nor is it a purely strategic position. Instead, we're looking for a senior marketing professional who enjoys building and running the engine themselves—someone equally comfortable developing the plan, analysing performance, optimising campaigns, managing agencies, and collaborating closely with sales to drive revenue growth.
You'll take ownership of demand generation, CRM marketing, customer journey optimisation, brand management, exhibitions, product launches, marketing collateral, and supplier relationships, creating a more accountable and commercially focused marketing function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
