The Company

Our client is a fast-growing, innovative FMCG food business with a portfolio of distinctive products, ambitious growth plans and an outstanding reputation for quality. Operating across multiple markets, the business has enjoyed significant success through continuous product innovation, strong customer partnerships and a deep understanding of evolving consumer trends.

With investment driving both brand development and category expansion, they are entering an exciting new phase of growth. This is a business where marketing sits at the heart of commercial strategy, shaping consumer engagement, driving market share and influencing the future direction of the brand portfolio.

The Role

This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role with responsibility for defining and delivering the overall marketing strategy across the business. As Head of Marketing, you will own the brand vision, lead a talented team and play a pivotal role in accelerating growth across existing and emerging product categories.

  • Lead both long-term brand building and short-term commercial activation, overseeing the full marketing mix across consumer marketing, product innovation, category development, digital, PR, social media, shopper marketing and trade activation.
  • Work closely with commercial, insights and product development teams, ensuring that consumer and customer needs remain central to every marketing decision.
  • Drive successful product launches, develop compelling brand campaigns and build category growth strategies that strengthen market position and increase consumer penetration.
  • Oversee annual marketing plans, promotional calendars, retail activations, customer marketing initiatives and digital engagement programmes, ensuring activity delivers measurable commercial results.
  • Work closely with the Board, senior leadership team and external agency partners, evolving the brand proposition, strengthening market presence and creating a best-in-class marketing function.
  • Champion consumer insight, data-led decision making and marketing effectiveness, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of food trends and consumer behaviour.

The Person

  • Accomplished senior marketing leader with significant experience within branded FMCG food businesses.
  • Genuine passion for food, consumer trends and innovation.
  • Proven track record of developing brands, leading successful product launches and delivering sustainable commercial growth.
  • Bring a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ideally gained within a high-growth, challenger or entrepreneurial food environment.
  • Experience working closely with category, commercial and NPD teams will be essential, as will a strong understanding of how to build brands that resonate with both consumers and retail partners.
  • Commercially astute and insight-driven, confident influencing at board level, leading high-performing teams and translating consumer understanding into impactful marketing strategies.
  • Have the vision, energy and leadership capability to help shape the future of an ambitious food brand entering its next stage of growth.
