About Us

Rendesco is the UK's leading heat pump and heat network business. We design, build, fund, own and operate heat networks and heat pump systems that help to decarbonise our homes. Our unique low cost and low carbon solutions enable new-build developers, social housing providers and homeowners to move away from gas quickly, affordably and at scale.

We're at an inflection point. The market is moving decisively towards low carbon heating, and we have the capital, technology and track record to lead this transition. We’re now looking for talented people to help us build the future of low carbon energy.

About the Role

Decarbonisation should be easy, and we make it effortless. You’ll be an experienced mechanical installation leader who understands what good looks like on site and has the credibility to lead engineering teams. You’ll have:

  • A hands-on mechanical background (pipefitting, plumbing, heating or mechanical installation).
  • Experience delivering large commercial plant rooms, energy centres or complex mechanical installations.
  • A background within an M&E contractor, plant room specialist, heat network or district heating environment.
  • Experience leading multiple installation teams and managing complex delivery programmes.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, pipework, hydraulics, pressure and flow.
  • The ability to read and challenge mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience improving processes, developing teams and driving higher standards.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with strong leadership skills.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We’re looking for an experienced Head of M&E Installation to take ownership of mechanical installation delivery across Rendesco as we continue to scale. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, heavily focused on the mechanical side of the business. You’ll lead our existing installation functions, including our In-Home Installation Manager and Pipelaying Manager, while building a commercial plant room team from the ground up. You’ll define how we deliver installations, improve quality standards and ensure systems are handed over safely and right first time.

Your work will include:

  • Leading mechanical installation delivery across heat pump installations, heat networks and commercial plant rooms.
  • Providing technical leadership and support to engineering teams.
  • Building and developing a plant room delivery capability, reducing reliance on subcontractors.
  • Creating installation standards, processes and best practice across multiple regions.
  • Improving quality, productivity and consistency across projects.
  • Supporting design reviews, buildability assessments and technical problem solving.
  • Managing installation teams, subcontractors and delivery performance.
  • Driving a strong safety culture across all mechanical works.
