Head of MES Programme
Senior Manufacturing Execution System (MES) Programme Lead
We're looking for a senior technology and transformation leader to take ownership of one of Aston Martin's most significant digital manufacturing programmes: the selection, implementation and deployment of our future Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across multiple production facilities.
About the Role
This isn’t simply about introducing a new platform—it’s about reimagining how manufacturing execution works across Aston Martin. The goal is to establish a single enterprise MES platform that connects people, processes and systems across Gaydon, St Athan, and Wellesbourne, enabling greater efficiency, traceability, quality, and operational insights.
You’ll hold end-to-end accountability for the programme—from defining the vision and roadmap through to partner mobilisation, deployment, adoption, and value realisation. Operating at the intersection of Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and IT, you’ll bring together multiple stakeholders around a shared objective while ensuring clarity of governance, decision-making, and delivery.
You’ll act as the execution owner, working closely with senior leaders to shape manufacturing execution across:
- Production control
- Workflow execution
- Quality management
- Traceability
- Integration with ERP systems and broader digital ecosystems

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
