At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. If you join us, you can play your part as a Head of Mobilisation at our Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

The role As a Head of Mobilisation, you will lead the end-to-end mobilisation of major programmes and contracts, ensuring projects transition seamlessly from concept to operational delivery. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will shape mobilisation strategy, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure operational readiness across complex engineering and defence programmes.

This is a full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week and based at our Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater, Somerset site.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

Leading mobilisation activities across multiple programmes to ensure successful and timely delivery Driving mobilisation strategies, governance, and planning frameworks across projects Coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve operational readiness and performance targets Managing risks, resources, and stakeholder engagement throughout mobilisation phases Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements

Essential experience of the Head of Mobilisation:

Demonstrating leadership experience within programme delivery, mobilisation, or project management environments Managing complex, large-scale projects within engineering, defence, or infrastructure sectors Driving stakeholder engagement across senior internal and external partners Applying strong governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks Leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications for the Head of Mobilisation:

Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, project management, or a related discipline Project or programme management qualification such as Association for Project Management or equivalent (desirable)
