About Us
Emperor is a leading, full-service corporate communications agency. Proudly independent and with a long heritage of nearly 30 years, we are well known in the world of reporting but now in London over 50% of our work is in other areas. These include brand, employee engagement, campaigns, digital (including websites), and moving image and content production. We have a wide range of mainly B2B clients – ranging from large FTSE 100 clients to smaller clients such as regional law firms.

The Role
This is a pivotal commercial role at Emperor focused on accelerating new business revenue and strengthening our pipeline.
You’ll play a central part in our growth strategy by identifying new opportunities, nurturing relationships, supporting proposals and pitches, and delivering campaigns that raise Emperor’s profile.
Working closely with the, you will drive momentum across priority sectors and convert opportunities into revenue.
You’ll sit at the heart of the business, reporting to our CEO, and working closely with the CEO and other business developers around Emperor to open doors, build momentum, and convert opportunities into revenue.

Responsibilities
New Business & Growth
- Implement Emperor’s growth strategy
- Lead prospecting and outreach across priority sectors
- Identify, qualify, and progress high-potential opportunities
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to conversion
- Contribute to pitch development and submission
- Develop compelling campaigns aligned to client needs
- Define target sectors and routes to market
- Build and maintain relationships with senior clients and prospects
- Track pipeline performance and ensure strong commercial discipline
- Support teams in achieving sales targets and revenue growth
Who we’re looking for

Required Skills
- 5+ years’ experience in agency business development
- Experience within corporate communications, creative, digital, or advisory environments
- Strong experience in end-to-end agency sales process
- Excellent client-facing and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate client needs into revenue opportunities
- Collaborative approach to working across teams to win business
