We’re hiring a dynamic leader to lead our Corporate Risk team in Leeds.

Aon is now recruiting for a Head of Office—a hybrid role offering the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Leeds Embankment office.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership

  • Lead regional and national strategy at branch level, contributing to its ongoing development alongside the Regional Director.
  • Develop and execute the branch business plan, driving performance, growth, and profitability across the office.
  • Act as the ‘face of Aon’ locally, building a strong external profile and positioning Aon as the broker of choice.
  • Drive revenue performance through forecasting, client profitability insights, and activity analysis.
  • Embed consistent client management, account planning, and service delivery across all teams.
  • Build strong relationships with insurers and internal stakeholders, including Claims, Trade Credit, Premium Finance, and Operations.
  • Ensure robust governance, regulatory compliance, and accurate, timely invoicing.

Client Growth & Retention

  • Lead client retention and organic growth strategies, including oversight of key client defences.
  • Partner with the Sales team to deliver new business and profitable growth.
  • Maximise opportunities to introduce the wider Aon offering (Risk, Claims, and specialist solutions).

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop the branch leadership team, driving a high-performance culture.
  • Build a strong talent pipeline with clear succession plans and ongoing development for key roles.
  • Create an inclusive, motivated, and collaborative environment aligned with Aon’s values.

Wider Business Contribution

  • Support broader Commercial Insurance initiatives, contributing to growth and retention across Aon.
  • Share best practices and drive consistency across the region and wider business.
  • Raise Aon’s profile locally through networking, events, and market engagement.

Compliance & Governance

  • Promote a strong compliance culture, ensuring all regulatory and internal standards are met.
  • Lead by example in consistent processes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for a candidate with: 🔹 Broad insurance knowledge, including market landscape, Aon’s solutions, and client risk exposures. 🔹 Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate, develop, and manage high-performing teams. 🔹 Experience managing mid-market and large corporate client relationships. 🔹 Commercial acumen, including understanding of market dynamics, business drivers, and financial performance. 🔹 Negotiation experience, particularly in fee-setting, client retention, and growth strategies. 🔹 Strategic thinking and problem-solving, with a focus on delivery and results. 🔹 ACII qualification (or equivalent).
