Bruumi is a newly formed vehicle finance company based in Birmingham, focused on building an innovative proposition for launch in late 2026. The company aims to provide customer centric, technology enabled and Sharia compliant finance solutions. As an early stage organisation, Bruumi offers opportunities to shape core operations, processes, and culture from the ground up. Role Description

The Head of Operations is a full-time, role located in Birmingham, responsible for overseeing day to day operational activities across the business. This role will design, implement, and optimize operational processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and scalability in preparation for the company’s launch and subsequent growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and developing operations teams
  • Establishing performance metrics
  • Overseeing resource planning and budgeting
  • Coordinating with other functions such as risk, finance, and sales
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring operational data and KPIs
  • Driving best practices in customer service and regulatory adherence

This position requires hands on leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to build robust operational frameworks in a startup environment.

Experience and Skills

  • Must have managerial experience of at least 5 to 10 years in motor finance operations in the UK.
  • The candidate is driven and motivated and ready to step up to a Head of role.
  • A proactive, solutions focused approach and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong Operations Management and process set up and optimization skills, with experience designing and scaling operational frameworks.
  • Demonstrated Analytical Skills for interpreting data, monitoring KPIs, and supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Proven Team Management and Communication abilities to lead diverse teams, collaborate across departments, and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with budgeting, resource planning, and financial oversight within an operations context.
  • Experience in startup or high growth environments, with a focus on building operations from early stages.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to the motor finance sector.
  • Ability to effectively use the latest technology and tools such as AI to deliver to high standards in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field.
  • Ability to work onsite in Birmingham.
