Role Description
The Head of Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Stoke-On-Trent, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operational performance across logistics, fulfilment, and support functions. This role will lead and develop operational teams, set clear objectives, and ensure processes, KPIs, and service standards are met or exceeded. The Head of Operations will manage budgets, resource allocation, and capacity planning to maximise efficiency and profitability, while supporting the delivery of contracts and e-fulfilment growth initiatives. Responsibilities include monitoring operational data, identifying improvement opportunities, implementing best practices, and coordinating with commercial and leadership teams to align operations with business strategy. The role also involves building strong internal and external relationships, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining a safe and high-performing working environment.

Qualifications

- Strong Operations Management experience, including oversight of logistics, fulfilment, and process improvement.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for interpreting operational data, forecasting capacity, and supporting data-driven decisions.
- Proven Team Management capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and building high-performing teams.
- Clear and confident Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated Budgeting and cost-control skills, including managing P&L, resource planning, and operational expenditure.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or 3PL environments, ideally in a senior operational leadership role.
- Ability to work on-site in Stoke-On-Trent and operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-focused setting.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Operations, Supply Chain, Business Management, or a related field is advantageous.
