Purpose

The Head of Operations is responsible for leading and overseeing all operational activities across Advanté’s Service Centres and client sites, including the Production and Transport functions. As a key member of the senior management team, the role ensures operational performance aligns with the company’s strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and commitment to safety, quality, and customer excellence.

Advanté Ltd. is the UK's original designer and supplier of "Oasis Instant Start Self-Contained Welfare Units." Pioneering sustainable innovation since 1998, we provide robust, reliable, and unique self-contained site welfare solutions, including the EcoLogic Solar and EcoMax Solar/Hybrid ranges, Vision toilet blocks, and PowerStations. Our products are essential to the UK's leading construction, housebuilding, highways, infrastructure, utility companies, among others, helping them cut emissions, noise, and fuel costs while delivering the highest quality welfare facilities. We are committed to sustainability, holding accreditations like Platinum EcoVadis Medal and FORS Gold.

Your Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure safe working practices across all Service Centres and client sites.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Promote a strong health, safety, and compliance culture across operations.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, manage, and inspire operational teams to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide clear, constructive feedback.
  • Identify training, development, and upskilling needs across operational teams.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of operational personnel.

Production Management

  • Deliver production targets in line with quality, cost, and time objectives.
  • Maintain efficient production workflows while meeting Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • Ensure consistent operational standards across all Service Centres in line with company and client expectations.

Transport Operations

  • Optimise vehicle utilisation to support operational efficiency.
  • Drive transport-related revenue performance.
  • Ensure full legal and regulatory compliance of the transport function.

Fleet Investment & Product Development Collaboration

  • Execute the fleet investment programme in line with operational needs and long-term strategy.
  • Work closely with the Head of Service & Product Development to review in-fleet unit performance.
  • Provide feedback on unit design, functionality, and reliability to support continuous improvement and innovation.

Supply Chain Performance

  • Oversee procurement and inventory management to ensure availability of parts at optimal cost.
  • Review parts performance, lifespan, and cost-effectiveness to support operational efficiency.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Ensure operational activities remain within agreed budgets.
  • Contribute to the achievement of company financial targets.
  • Provide clear, timely, and insightful reporting on operational KPIs to the senior management team.
