Leadership Opportunity: Head of Operations
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to manage Credera’s core business operations and processes. The Head of Operations is responsible for driving operational excellence and improving operational efficiency across the organisation in line with the overall business strategy. The role is full time, although we’d be open to considering flexible working requests.
Here’s what you’ll do
As the Head of Operations, you’ll lead the core Operations team. You’ll be reporting to the office of the COO. The role will need to work closely with other members of the Credera Executive Leadership Team (ELT), senior leadership team and other distributed operational teams to understand their requirements for enhancements and changes to operational systems and processes and to ensure any changes are delivered and communicated effectively.
Head of Operations Responsibilities
Core team leadership
Finance Systems Team
- Provide line management of our two finance systems engineers
- Maintain a backlog of changes and enhancements required for our finance systems (Salesforce / Kantata and Microsoft Dynamics) to ensure the systems meet Credera requirements
- Liaise with Credera UK senior leadership team to understand their requirements and priorities
- Assess the impact of changes on systems, processes and Credera functions and teams
- Recommend the priority of backlog items to the COO for agreement
- Deliver Finance system changes in line with the prioritised backlog in a timely manner
- Oversee delivery of the system changes ensuring appropriate testing is undertaken
- Direct communication and change activities to ensure changes are rolled out in a controlled manner minimising (where possible) the impact on affected individuals and teams
- Liaise with other teams as appropriate including CISO, BI team and internal IT teams to manage any interdependencies with finance systems change
- Manage the relationship with system team suppliers to ensure Credera UK receive effective support
- Understand the System supplier product roadmaps and identify new functionality that could be beneficial for Credera UK
- Ensure licence requirements and renewals are met
BI Team
- Provide Line management of our two BI engineers
- Maintain the back log of required changes to our BI platform
- Liaise with other Credera leaders to understand their reporting requirements
- Assess the impact of changes on systems, processes and Credera functions and teams
- Recommend the priority of backlog items to the COO for agreement
- Deliver BI changes in line with the prioritised backlog in a timely manner
- Oversee delivery of the system changes ensuring appropriate testing is undertaken

Compliance
- Provide line management of our Compliance lead to:
- Ensure Credera UK’s compliance with relevant regulatory and legal requirements
- Maintain appropriate ISO (and other certifications ISO(9000, 14001 and 20,000) as required to sell and deliver to our clients
- Identify further certifications required to achieve the Credera UK Strategy and manage the achievement of any new certifications
- Ensure appropriate policies and processes are maintained by business owners
General Role Responsibilities
- Create an Operations Strategy and Roadmap in alignment to the Credera Global and UK Strategy
- Build relationships with our parent company, Omnicom
- Build working relationships with our parent company Omnicom to ensure effective project management and spend governance
- UK representative in Global operational discussions
- Act as the UK representative in global discussions where these impact operational systems, processes or people. Seeking guidance and direction from COO as required
- Work with global operations (and their representatives) to understand the roadmap of global operational changes and ensure these are included in the Credera UK change backlog and appropriately prioritised
- Support Global projects as required where these relate to operational systems and processes
- Work with other operations teams homed outside of the COO function to:
- Align planned system and processes with the Operations Strategy and Roadmap
- Understand, scope and deliver continuous improvements to operational systems and processes (including SharePoint, Culture Amp, TM1, Jira etc) in line with business requirements
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve existing operational systems and processes to reduce manual effort, minimise re-keying, improve usability etc
- Ensure alignment between initiatives across operational teams
Project and Programme Management
- M&A and integration
- Work across the UK business and globally to integrate new acquisitions or entity into Credera Operations
- Project manage ad-hoc projects requiring delivery in the UK business
- Provide costs and timelines for Project Management
Manage the core operations team which will comprise:
- 2 * Finance Systems Managers
- 1 * Compliance manager
- 2 * BI System leads
Technology and AI Adoption
- Working with the CrederaUK AI team:
- Develop the AI adoption strategy for operations and enable the adoption of AI across operational processes and teams
- Enable the use of other technologies such as PowerApps and SharePoint
- Develop and grow an “Informal Community” of individuals to provide effective and sustainable support and development for operations applications
Communications Oversight
- Develop and oversee the implementation of a Ops wide communications strategy in collaboration with the People team, coordinating and preparing content for operations-wide meetings, events, newsletters, and SharePoint updates
- Support the cascade of information from the ELT to Operations team

The successful individual will be:
- Capable of setting and driving the strategic direction for the core Operations team, effectively leading teams and aligning initiatives with organisational goals
- An experienced leader able to engage global operations peers to represent the UK perspective in global and understand the implications for the UK of global initiatives
- Skilled in managing multiple change initiatives, ensuring timely execution and alignment with performance targets
- A leadership role model who can grow and lead the capability
- Aware of our organisational strategy and able to determine how the operational systems, processes and people need to evolve to underpin this
- An excellent career coach/mentor able to be both to be rigorous and supportive
- Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives in parallel
- Comfortable working in a global organisation with a US Headquartered parent company
