Head of Origination, Corporate Finance

The Opportunity

We're working on behalf of a growing, entrepreneurial Corporate Finance advisory firm that is looking to appoint a Head of Origination to support the next phase of its growth.

This is a senior, high-profile appointment with responsibility for generating new business opportunities across the firm's M&A, Transaction Services and Debt Advisory practices. Working closely with the Partners, you will be instrumental in developing relationships with private equity investors, corporates, lenders, legal firms and other deal introducers, creating a consistent pipeline of high-quality mandates.

This role offers the opportunity to join an ambitious, collaborative business with significant growth plans and genuine influence over its future direction.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute the firm's origination strategy across M&A, Transaction Services and Debt Advisory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private equity houses, corporates, banks, debt funds, lawyers, accountants and other professional introducers.
  • Identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities into advisory mandates.
  • Work alongside Partners and Directors to develop client relationships and win new engagements.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of prospective opportunities and provide regular reporting on business development activity.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, thought leadership and the firm's wider growth strategy.
  • Act as a brand ambassador within the UK mid-market deal community.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
