Head of Paid Media | Manchester | £60,000–£70,000 DOE

I'm partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing independent media agencies to find their next Head of Paid Media (PPC & Paid Social).

This is a genuine leadership opportunity for someone who wants to shape the future of a growing agency, rather than simply manage an existing function.

Reporting directly into the Senior Leadership Team, you'll take full ownership of the Digital function, leading strategy across Paid Media, SEO and Analytics while driving commercial performance, developing a high-performing team, and acting as a senior voice across clients and new business.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be close enough to the work to challenge strategy, spot opportunities and maintain quality, while also operating confidently at board level with clients and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Owning and evolving the agency's digital strategy across Paid Search, Paid Social and SEO
  • Leading, developing and retaining a high-performing digital team
  • Building trusted relationships with senior clients and translating commercial objectives into measurable digital strategies
  • Owning forecasting, utilisation and profitability across the function
  • Leading new business pitches and contributing to agency growth
  • Driving innovation, best practice and continuous improvement across tools, processes and delivery
  • Working closely with Creative, Client Services, E-commerce and SEO teams to deliver integrated campaigns

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
