Head of Partnerships

Department: Commercial & Partnerships Location: London (with hybrid flexibility and travel requirements)

About the Role

At Tempcover, we’re revolutionising the short-term car insurance industry, delivering flexible, quick, and easy solutions for drivers. As we scale, we’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Partnerships to build on our existing portfolio while identifying and cultivating game-changing commercial relationships. Based out of London (with a hybrid model), you’ll balance onsite collaboration with strategic growth initiatives—sometimes from the road, but mostly shaping partnerships from our teams in London or Fleet offices.

Part of the RVU ecosystem—home to brands like Confused, Uswitch, money.co.uk and Mojo Mortgages—we recruit for those who are exceptional at what they do and eager to join a cutting-edge InsureTech business on rapid expansion.

The Opportunity

You’ll join Tempcover at a critical juncture—inheriting a powerhouse portfolio of partnerships but with the freedom to chart new paths. This role isn’t static: it’s designed to grow alongside the business, including the potential to build and lead your own team as we scale. The ability to spark commercial progress, adapt quickly, and maximise value will be your compass.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Partnerships, your daily work will combine strategic vision with operational excellence:

  • Cultivate trusted commercial relationships: Build and deepen partnerships with both existing and new stakeholders to increase mutual value and exceed targets.
  • Drive innovation with Underwriting & Pricing: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and introduce new commercial propositions that align with customer needs.
  • Prospect and engage: Identify high-potential partnerships within the automotive and insurance sectors, engaging directly with senior decision-makers.
  • Onboard and optimise partnerships:
    • Lead the onboarding process, working closely with Product & Tech teams to set up client delivery.
    • Handle contracts, sign-offs, project briefs, due diligence, compliance, and reporting.
    • Implement performance tracking, using metrics and insights to improve outcomes.
  • Expand and elevate existing partnerships:
    • Analysing portfolio performance to identify growth opportunities.
    • Pitching new products/services to existing partners while tailoring solutions to enhance customer benefits.
  • Serve as the commercial anchor:
    • Be the primary point of contact for partners, representing Tempcover with authority.
    • Resolve complex challenges—whether technical, operational, or strategic—with agility and diplomatic skill.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We’re Looking For

We don’t just want someone who understands partnerships—we’re looking for a strategic leader who inspires trust, finds opportunities, and shapes the future of commercial growth. Whether on the road or in-office, your contribution should think beyond today’s work and actively explore the potential.

You’ll Bring:

✔ A proven track record of growing B2B partnerships end-to-end, moving beyond account maintenance to own commercial outcomes and proactive growth. ✔ Senior stakeholder influence—internally (cross-functional teams like Product, Tech) and externally (with partners) in navigating complex deals. ✔ Analytical and commercial acumen: Data-driven mindset to assess market opportunities, stress-test propositions, and convert insights into action. ✔ A deep collaboration Catalyst: Ability to drive projects forward without losing momentum, even when challenges arise. ✔ While an understanding of the automotive/InsureTech industry is useful, a sharp commercial instinct and adaptability are paramount. ✔ High-energy autonomy: You thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, self-starting while solving problems in a proactive and scalable way.

No single candidates ticked all the boxes—your outsized impact trumps a rigid list. Come to Tempcover, build something with us!
