This is a great opportunity to be a key part of a highly motivated team and responsible for the management, strategy and administration of the Bromley Pension Fund.
The post reports to the Head of Corporate Finance & Accounting (Technical & Control Team).
This is an excellent opportunity within the financial services division for an experienced and highly motivated finance professional. This is an interesting and varied role to be the strategic lead for all aspects of the London Borough of Bromley Pension Fund and be the Senior LGPS Officer, as set out in the LGPS Consultation ‘Fit for the Future’. Part of a small team, you will also deputise for the Head of Corporate Finance & Accounting on any matters relating to the work of the team.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills as well as proven experience in being able to communicate with Councillors and officers at all management levels across the authority. You will have proven leadership skills and experience and knowledge of Pension Fund Accounting and Governance. CCAB qualified and/or extensive financial experience, with a minimum of 5 years at a senior level. In-depth understanding of the key issues affecting the framework of local government as a whole and in particular those relating to financial management and pension funds. This is a great opportunity to play a significant role in a team with a varied workload and regular senior level exposure.
