We're delighted to be partnering with a well established, family-owned business based in the Uppingham, Rutland. With a long standing reputation for quality and craftsmanship, the company combines traditional UK manufacturing with continued investment and growth across multiple divisions.
They are looking for an experienced People Business Partner to join the business on a part-time basis (3/4 days). This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of a standalone HR function and work closely with the Managing Director to drive people initiatives, support organisational change and help shape the future of the business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a standalone role that offers the opportunity to influence both the strategic and operational people agenda across the business.
Joining during an exciting period of growth and transformation, you'll play a key role in supporting managers, developing leadership capability and driving initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and organisational culture. With the business implementing a new ERP system and continuing to evolve its people practices, you'll have the opportunity to lead meaningful change while remaining hands-on in your approach.

Main Responsibilities
- Provide both strategic and operational HR support across the business.
- Coach and support managers with employee relations matters, performance management and people development.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives and support the business in creating a positive, people first culture.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, policies and ways of working.
- Support the people aspects of the implementation of a new ERP system.
- Develop management capability through coaching, mentoring and training initiatives.
- Build strong relationships across manufacturing, office and hospitality teams, maintaining a visible and approachable HR presence.
Required
- Previous experience in a standalone HR, HR Manager or People Business Partner position within a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly desirable, with experience in food manufacturing, agriculture or horticulture sectors.
- A strong HR generalist with experience balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery.
- Confident managing employee relations matters and coaching managers through challenging conversations.
- Experience supporting organisational change and embedding new ways of working.
- A hands-on, approachable and pragmatic HR professional who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operation of the business.
- Passionate about developing people, improving leadership capability and creating a positive workplace culture.

Salary
£60,000 – £70,000 (full-time equivalent), depending on experience, with the salary pro-rated depending on whether you work a 3- or 4-day week.
