Location: Leeds (with occasional travel to London) - Hybrid
Salary: £100,000-£115,000 + bonus

The Opportunity
Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed group operating within a highly specialised technical and manufacturing environment. Backed by ambitious growth plans and a well-established leadership team, the organisation is entering a significant period of expansion and organisational development.
To support this next phase, the business is seeking its first senior People leader to create and lead the People function. Working closely with the executive team, you will design the frameworks, processes and culture required to support a growing multi-site organisation through both organic growth and acquisition activity.
This is an exciting opportunity to build a People function from scratch, influence business strategy and play a central role in shaping the future success of a high-growth organisation.

More About the Role
As Head of People, you will lead the design and implementation of the organisation's people strategy, creating scalable processes, governance and frameworks that support a high-growth environment.
This is a broad and highly influential role, combining strategic leadership with hands-on delivery. You will partner closely with the CEO and wider leadership team, helping to shape organisational culture, support acquisition integration, develop future talent and establish a best-in-class employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and establish the People function from inception.
- Design and implement core HR processes, policies and governance.
- Lead people-related activity across acquisitions and business integrations.
- Develop talent, leadership and succession frameworks across the group.
- Create clear career pathways and performance management processes.
- Establish workforce planning, reporting and people analytics capability.
- Support cultural alignment and employee engagement across multiple businesses and locations.
- Partner with senior leaders to build a high-performing, values-led organisation.

More About You
- Experienced People leader with a track record of building or transforming HR functions.
- Experience operating within high-growth, private equity-backed or entrepreneurial environments.
- Background within manufacturing, engineering, healthcare, industrial or other multi-site organisations would be advantageous.
- Strong experience in organisational change, integration, transformation or scaling businesses.
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and executive teams.
- Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands-on when required.
- Passionate about talent development, culture and building organisations for long-term success.
