Head of People - Corporate Markets

LOCATIONS: London (33 Old Broad Street)
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site.
TYPE: Full-time

Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM) is the non‑ring‑fenced banking and capital markets business of Lloyds Banking Group, established in response to UK ring‑fencing regulation and operating as a standalone legal entity. It provides capital markets, financial markets and international banking services to corporate and institutional clients with a strong connection to the UK, and operates a customer‑centric banking proposition in the Crown Dependencies.

LBCM works in close partnership with Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) to deliver integrated, relationship‑led client solutions, while also playing a critical role in supporting the Group's balance sheet management, funding, hedging and treasury activities. With colleagues based in the UK and internationally, LBCM operates with its own Board and executive functions, supported by shared services provided by the Group's ring‑fenced bank.

We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking Head of People to partner Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM). We're seeking an ambitious and highly motivated senior HR leader with deep, hands‑on experience in Markets environments. The successful candidate will bring the credibility, pace and resilience required to operate at the heart of a regulated, fast‑moving Markets business.

As Head of People for LBCM, you'll partner with the Executive Committee to design and deliver a forward-thinking people strategy aligned to business priorities. Sitting at the leadership table, you'll influence decisions, drive transformation, and be part of a high-performing People team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
