Job Description Summary
Title: Head of People
LOCATIONS: London (33 Old Broad Street)
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site.

Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM) is the non‑ring‑fenced banking and capital markets business of Lloyds Banking Group, established in response to UK ring‑fencing regulation and operating as a standalone legal entity. It provides capital markets, financial markets and international banking services to corporate and institutional clients with a strong connection to the UK, and operates a customer‑centric banking proposition in the Crown Dependencies.
LBCM works in close partnership with Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) to deliver integrated, relationship‑led client solutions, while also playing a critical role in supporting the Group’s balance sheet management, funding, hedging and treasury activities. With colleagues based in the UK and internationally, LBCM operates with its own Board and executive functions, supported by shared services provided by the Group’s ring‑fenced bank.
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and forward-thinking Head of People to partner Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM). We’re seeking an ambitious and highly motivated senior HR leader with deep, hands‑on experience in Markets environments. The successful candidate will bring the credibility, pace and resilience required to operate at the heart of a regulated, fast‑moving Markets business.
As Head of People for LBCM, you’ll partner with the Executive Committee to design and deliver a forward-thinking people strategy aligned to business priorities. Sitting at the leadership table, you’ll influence decisions, drive transformation, and be part of a high-performing People team.

What you’ll be doing
- Act as a trusted advisor to LBCM executives and leadership teams, shaping strategic decisions and people plans.
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Centres of Excellence to deliver transformation across organisation design, talent, performance, agile working, automation, AI, and workforce planning.
- Lead strategic change programmes, including operating model evolution, M&A, and service expansion.
- Align people and business plans across Group and regulatory forums, embedding policy changes on culture, reward, and future ways of working.
- Provide leadership on complex employee relations, risk and control management, and deliver data-driven, innovative solutions.
- Drive delivery of key projects that support our Group-wide transformation and customer relationship strategy.
- Lead and develop a high performing global People team.
Please note, the holder of this position will act as a Material Risk Taker (MRT).
What we’re looking for
- Senior HR leader with extensive experience in executive-level partnering within a large-scale banking and financial markets environment.
- Resilient, and highly commercial with deep understanding of Investment Banking and Markets businesses.
- Understanding of and proven track record in successfully navigating the cultural and practical nuances of Investment Banking and Markets businesses as they form part of a universal bank.
- Strong understanding of risk, regulatory requirements, external environment, and executive compensation, including Board/ Remuneration Committee advisory.
- Proven track record in organisational transformation, talent, performance, workforce planning and operational model design.
- Commercial, highly resilient, and digitally confident, with experience leveraging new technologies (such as AI) for workforce transformation.
- Skilled in influencing senior stakeholders and leading geographically dispersed teams.
- Committed to building an inclusive, collaborative culture and developing internal talent pipelines.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
