About the Role
Our client, a leading global asset manager, is seeking an experienced Head of Performance Attribution to lead its global performance attribution capability.
This is a leadership opportunity responsible for overseeing the delivery, development, and strategic evolution of investment performance attribution across a broad range of asset classes. The successful candidate will lead geographically dispersed teams, partner with senior investment stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping the future operating model of the function.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Global Head of Performance & Attribution, you will be responsible for the global delivery of high-quality performance attribution analysis, ensuring robust methodologies, scalable processes, and meaningful investment insight that supports portfolio managers, investment committees, and clients.
The role combines operational leadership with strategic change, offering the opportunity to influence technology, operating models, and the future direction of a critical investment function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop global Performance Attribution teams across multiple locations.
- Oversee the production and interpretation of performance and attribution analysis across equity, fixed income, and multi-asset portfolios.
- Ensure attribution methodologies remain robust, consistent, and aligned with industry best practice.
- Maintain strong governance, controls, and data quality across the attribution process.
- Partner closely with Portfolio Managers, Investment Directors, Risk, Product, and Client teams to deliver value-added analytical insight.
- Act as the senior subject matter expert for attribution-related matters across the business.
- Lead strategic initiatives including system implementations, operating model improvements, automation, and process optimization.
- Manage relationships with external vendors supporting the attribution platform.
- Support client reporting, due diligence requests, and product development from a performance attribution perspective.

Experience Required
- Significant experience within Performance Measurement and/or Performance Attribution in an asset management or institutional investment environment.
- Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams, including global or multi-location functions.
- Strong understanding of attribution methodologies across multiple asset classes.
- Experience leading business projects/transformation, operating model redesign, or technology change within an investment performance function.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior investment stakeholders and communicate complex analytical concepts clearly.
- Strategic mindset combined with strong operational execution and attention to detail.
- Degree educated in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
