Head of Football
Strive Group UK are looking to appoint a Head of Football to oversee its Strive Performance element of the business, heading up the goalkeeper coaching and outfield provision that we offer.
This role is a hybrid role, with flexible hours, based in Ellesmere Port, England. To begin with, this role will be 5-10 hours per week, with a pathway to full-time work.
About Strive Group
Strive Group is a rebranded group, where three companies have joined forces to generate one larger group - which is broken down into Strive Performance, Strive Media, and Strive Events.
- Strive Media is one of the biggest media and marketing organisations in the North West, with plenty of resources to boost the other sides of the business.
- Strive Events is a new part of the company, starting out with inflatable football pitch hire in line with the FA Future Fit Format.
- Strive Performance, the area of the business that this role is for, is the biggest goalkeeper coaching company in the area, formerly the Goalkeeper’s Union. With its own private facility in Ellesmere Port, the aim of Strive Performance is to create an outfield provision which matches the size of the goalkeeping provision, whilst also growing that part of the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
