Job Description
As Head of Platform Engineering at Model ML, you will lead the evolution of production-grade infrastructure for the AI era. Based in Kings Cross, you’ll own the end-to-end cloud strategy, scaling our Azure/AKS environment and leading a growing team. You’ll ensure high availability, security, and compliance for the world’s leading financial institutions.

What You Will Do
- Architect and scale cloud infrastructure using Azure, AKS, and Terraform to support rapid product growth and demanding financial service workloads.
- Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and observability frameworks to ensure system reliability, performance, and seamless software delivery across all services.
- Lead the company through SOC 2 and ISO 27001 audits, implementing rigorous security, secrets management, and compliance measures across the entire platform.
The ideal candidate
- Has 10+ years of experience in infrastructure and platform engineering, specifically architecting and operating production-grade Kubernetes and Terraform environments at scale.
- Demonstrates a proven track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in high-growth startup environments with a focus on operational excellence.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-ownership culture and possesses deep experience navigating complex compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
