About Chronicle
Chronicle is a cutting-edge decentralized Oracle solution delivering secure, transparent, and verifiable real-time data. With over $13 billion in collateral secured for major DeFi ecosystems, we empower institutions, builders, and tokenized asset issuers with unmatched trust and transparency.
Backed by a $12M seed round from leading investors and angels, Chronicle is expanding its infrastructure, security, and operational capabilities to support the next generation of institutional customers, including asset managers, custodians, banks, and tokenization platforms.
In addition to our continued partnership with Sky (formerly MakerDAO), we are building the world’s first fully verifiable, cost-efficient, scalable, and decentralized oracle infrastructure for both DeFi and Real World Assets (RWA).
This is an opportunity to join a top-tier crypto infrastructure company at a pivotal stage of growth, where operational excellence, reliability, security, compliance, and institutional readiness are becoming as important as engineering velocity. Infrastructure is a first-class engineering discipline at Chronicle. We view platform reliability, operational resilience, and security as strategic capabilities that directly support customer trust and product growth.
The Role
We are looking for a seasoned Head of Platform Engineering based in the UK or EU time zones to lead Chronicle’s infrastructure organization through its next stage of growth. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with organizational development, operational resilience, security governance, compliance readiness, and platform strategy.
You will lead a globally distributed DevOps and Infrastructure team, own the reliability and scalability of our production systems, and help Chronicle mature into an infrastructure platform capable of supporting institutional-grade customers and regulatory scrutiny.
This is not a pure management position. We are looking for someone who remains technically credible and can actively contribute to architecture, incident response, infrastructure strategy, and engineering execution.
You will work closely with the Head of Engineering, Product, Operations, Legal, and Executive leadership to establish the foundations required for Chronicle’s next phase of growth.
What Success Looks Like
Within your first 12 months you will:
- Lead Chronicle’s operational compliance maturity through ISO 27001 and SOC 2 readiness.
- Improve operational resilience, disaster recovery capabilities, and follow-the-sun operations.
- Strengthen institutional readiness for audits, customer due diligence, and security reviews.
- Build a high-performing Platform Engineering organization and culture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
