Director | Head of Platform Engineering
London | Hybrid (3 days per week)
We are currently partnering with a global, highly regulated financial services organisation on the appointment of a Director / Head of Platform Engineering.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity to define and execute the Platform Engineering vision for a large-scale enterprise technology estate, enabling engineering teams through modern platforms, automation and cloud-native capabilities, working across the entire technology landscape covering all business areas.
You'll lead a multidisciplinary engineering function responsible for Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud, Database, Storage and Build & Release, driving the adoption of DevOps principles and creating the foundations for modern software delivery.

You'll be responsible for:
- Defining the Platform Engineering strategy and roadmap
- Building scalable, secure and resilient infrastructure platforms
- Driving DevOps, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code adoption
- Leading Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capabilities
- Creating self-service platforms that improve developer productivity
- Driving cloud transformation across Azure and AWS.
- Leveraging automation and AI to modernise engineering operations
- Leading a team of engineers while influencing technology strategy across the wider organisation.
