HEAD OF PLATFORM - strategy & delivery
Location: Worcestershire
Salary: Up to £85k + bonus + benefits

Bring your vision to this Platform Leadership opportunity where you’ll define & deliver the technology strategy to modernise a globally used SaaS platform, aligning technology strategy to business objectives, client delivery and remain Best in Class.
Our client is a successful UK company providing its SaaS platform to clients globally with a large volume of users 24x7. The current tech stack limits business growth into new markets and ability to meet client requests; hence it needs to invest in platform modernisation.
The current tech stack is a web application platform hosted on Microsoft Azure, utilising Azure DevOps.
Role:
Reporting to the MD, you’ll bring vision to take ownership of tech strategy, product roadmaps, design and delivery of the platform modernisation. There’s an appetite for change & support of a complete modernisation. Selected platform technology needs to support business objectives, create future opportunities, product diversification, scalability, considering emerging tech, automation and AI.

Leading a small team (product owner & Devs), this includes:
- Product leadership/management – Product Vision, Roadmaps, Prioritisation and Customer feedback
- Technology Leadership – Technology Strategy Definition, Platform Architecture, SaaS operations, Security and Development oversight
- Some Commercial & Stakeholder Management – occasional customer meetings, Tender support, Board reporting, and budget ownership
- Governance & Compliance – GDPR, ISO27001, Audit responses and Risk management
- Ownership of DevOps
- Team leadership and strategic direction
- Ensuring continued evolution, security, scalability, availability and commercial success of this platform
- Platform stability and client delivery with innovation
ABOUT YOU
To be considered, you need to bring proven delivery and expertise in:
- Defined strategy then delivering modernisation of an aging platform, ensuring continued service delivery and successful transition of clients to the new platform
- Software engineering / development / been a developer or come up through development
- Vision, defining and delivering technology strategy
- SaaS platforms, cloud tech, cloud architecture, software architecture and user experience.
- Software security, cybersecurity, data privacy (GDPR / data Residency) and platform resilience
- Make the transition journey positive for team, company and clients
- Product management
- Project management
- Up to date on Technology and DevOps
- Audits / ISO27001 knowledge
- Commercially astute, stakeholder management, ability to work with the business, team leadership and collaboration.

Hybrid Working: 2 days in the office each week – so applicants must be within reasonable commuting distance of Worcester (Full time remote working is not an option)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Bonus + excellent benefits, 25 days + public holidays, holiday purchase, EAP, Pension and more
