Opportunity Overview
Are you an experienced academic and Podiatrist ready for an exciting new challenge? We’re looking for someone with expertise in Podiatry education and leadership who can help us achieve our mission to deliver the highest quality inclusive, stimulating and challenging education and research. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Podiatry education through the development and operationalisation of our new, innovative curriculum and our ambitious placement reform agenda.
We are seeking a motivated, creative and ambitious leader to take Podiatry at Salford University forward, building on our existing strengths while developing new areas of business to meet the future demands of a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. You’ll need to be a forward thinking, innovative and compassionate leader, ready to embrace new challenges, support your colleagues, and champion the exciting changes underway in Podiatry education at the University. You will work across the School and wider University, collaborating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including NHS and independent sector partners to bring our new curriculum to life and enable sustainable, high-quality practice-based learning.
You’ll have experience working in Higher Education and a dedication to creating the best possible student experience through strong partnerships, excellent teaching and inclusive learning practice, and a commitment to fostering belonging and student success. As an academic leader, you will also contribute to the growing research profile of Podiatry and the School of Health & Society, engaging in research, scholarship, and knowledge exchange and supporting research development across the team.

The School of Health and Society at the University of Salford is the largest provider of professional training for the Allied Health Professions in the UK. The School has a dynamic team of academic staff offering high quality educational programmes at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Podiatry team sit within the Directorate of Allied and Public Health.
