Director | Head of Portfolio Management (Infrastructure / Technology)

We are partnering with a globally recognised financial institution on a senior leadership opportunity to lead a large-scale Infrastructure Engineering Portfolio across a complex, enterprise technology landscape.
This is a strategic role for an experienced Portfolio Director, Programme Director or Infrastructure Portfolio Leader who thrives in highly regulated environments and has a proven track record of delivering large-scale technology transformation.
The Opportunity:
You'll take ownership of a significant portfolio of infrastructure and digital engineering programmes, ensuring successful delivery across quality, budget, governance, and strategic outcomes. Leading a team of Programme and Portfolio professionals, you'll work closely with executive stakeholders to shape investment priorities, oversee portfolio governance, and drive delivery excellence across the organisation.

This role sits at the heart of enterprise technology transformation, influencing strategic investment decisions while ensuring projects are delivered in line with business priorities, regulatory obligations, and organisational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a large-scale Infrastructure project portfolio
- Define and execute portfolio strategy, roadmaps, and delivery priorities
- Oversee complex programmes spanning infrastructure, cloud, regulatory, and business change initiatives
- Drive portfolio governance, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement
- Manage portfolio budgets, forecasting, and investment planning
- Ensure robust risk, dependency, and change management across multiple concurrent programmes
- Build and develop high-performing programme and portfolio teams
- Partner with senior Technology and Business leaders to align investment with strategic objectives
- Drive continuous improvement across project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks

What We're Looking For:
- Extensive Portfolio, Programme, or PMO leadership experience
- Delivery of complex enterprise technology and infrastructure portfolios
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and investment governance
- Executive stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Portfolio planning, prioritisation, and roadmap management
- Governance, RAID management, and change control expertise
- Experience leading multidisciplinary delivery teams
- A background within financial services or another highly regulated environment
