Shape the future of pricing in one of the UK's largest consumer businesses.
AJ Exec has been retained by a market-leading consumer retail business to appoint an exceptional Head of Pricing.
This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a sophisticated, high-volume pricing operation and transform it into a truly data-led, automated commercial capability. You'll lead pricing strategy across a portfolio of approximately 10,000 products, developing the systems, processes and team that optimise pricing in real time while balancing commercial performance, customer demand and profitability. If you enjoy solving complex commercial problems through data, technology and strategic thinking, this is a role where you can make a measurable impact.
The Opportunity

Working closely with Finance, Commercial, Marketing, Buying, Operations and Technology teams, you'll ensure pricing becomes an intelligent, scalable capability that maximises margin, stock turn and commercial performance.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
