Head of Pricing System Development & Delivery
Location - London, Farringdon
Royal Mail is transforming the way pricing is managed across one of the UK's largest commercial organisations.
We're investing in the next generation of pricing systems and capabilities, evolving from today's multi-system landscape to a modern SAP-enabled Revenue Management ecosystem. As Head of Pricing System Development & Delivery, you'll define and deliver the roadmap that underpins how pricing is developed, deployed and managed across an £8bn revenue business.
Working closely with Commercial, Technology and SAP delivery teams, you'll translate commercial pricing strategy into scalable system capability, ensuring pricing is embedded across our products, customer journeys and technology landscape.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of pricing across Royal Mail while playing a leading role in one of the UK's largest business transformation programmes.
About The Role
You'll lead the development and delivery of Royal Mail's Pricing Systems transformation roadmap, balancing short-term enhancement of existing platforms with long-term transformation through SAP.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver the enterprise Pricing Systems Development & Delivery roadmap, ensuring investment is aligned to Commercial strategy and business priorities
- Lead a multi-million-pound Pricing Systems Enhancement Programme, taking initiatives from business case through to implementation and benefit realisation
- Lead the Pricing workstream within Royal Mail's Future ERP programme, helping transition to a modern SAP-enabled Revenue Management ecosystem.
- Act as the senior Business owner for Pricing System capability, defining business priorities and providing clear direction throughout design, build, testing and deployment
- Define business requirements for new pricing capabilities, working closely with Technology teams and System Integration partners to ensure they are accurately translated into solution design and delivered as intended
- Ensure pricing capability integrates effectively across Salesforce, SAP and downstream business systems to support end-to-end customer journeys.
- Lead the business through solution validation, business readiness, testing, deployment, change management and adoption, ensuring new capabilities are successfully embedded and deliver measurable commercial value
- Build strong partnerships across Pricing, Sales, Customer Services, Finance, Commercial and Technology, creating alignment on priorities and successful delivery
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing Pricing System Development & Delivery team.
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing capability, supporting revenue growth, margin improvement, operational efficiency and better commercial decision-making
- Leading a team of 5 direct reports of various levels from Senior Manager to Analyst

About You
You'll be an experienced business leader with a strong understanding of pricing and commercial operations, together with a proven track record of delivering business-led systems transformation.
You'll be comfortable bridging Commercial and Technology, ensuring business requirements are clearly defined, effectively translated into technology solutions, and successfully adopted by the organisation.
Experience
- Significant experience leading pricing, revenue management or commercial capability development within a large, complex organisation
- Experience defining business requirements for enterprise pricing systems and working alongside Technology teams and System Integration partners to deliver successful business outcomes
- A strong understanding of pricing processes, governance and commercial operations, with the ability to balance business priorities against technical constraints
- Proven experience leading business workstreams through the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements definition, solution design, business readiness, testing, deployment, adoption and benefit realisation
- A track record of delivering complex, cross-functional transformation programmes involving Commercial, Sales, Finance and Technology teams
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently at Executive level while building commitment across operational teams
- Strong commercial judgement and analytical capability, with experience developing business cases, prioritising investment and delivering measurable business value
- Experience building, leading and developing high-performing teams
