Head of Private Client | Solicitor, CILEX or Senior Private Client Paralegal | South Manchester
Build Your Own Private Client Department
Ever wanted the opportunity to build a department your way rather than inherit someone else's?
A growing South Manchester law firm is looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Private Client professional to establish and lead its new Private Client offering.
This role would suit someone with genuine Private Client experience, whether that's an NQ Solicitor who has trained within Private Client and previously worked as a Private Client fee earner, an experienced Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive, or a senior Paralegal looking for their next challenge.
We're looking for someone who understands the Private Client market, enjoys building relationships and is excited by the prospect of helping create and grow a department from the ground up.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
