Croydon College Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement to lead and develop our procurement function, ensuring best value, compliance, and outstanding support for our students, staff, and wider college community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional with strong leadership capabilities to shape procurement strategy, drive commercial value, and ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 and public sector procurement requirements.

Working closely with the Executive Team and senior stakeholders, you will provide expert procurement advice, lead high-value tenders and contract negotiations, and develop a culture of procurement excellence across the College.

About the Role

As Head of Procurement, you will:

  • Lead the strategic development of procurement across the College.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and supply chain strategies.
  • Deliver end-to-end procurement and tendering activities across Estates, Capital Projects, Digital & Technology, Professional Services, and Education & Training.
  • Drive value for money, financial resilience, and operational efficiencies.
  • Provide expert guidance on procurement law, contract management, supplier performance, and commercial risk.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement legislation, audit requirements, and governance frameworks.
  • Produce procurement reports, spend analysis, and supplier performance metrics for senior leadership.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and develop robust supplier relationship management practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
